12.17.2017 Wonderful day at Ursa Christian Church
Dick Harshman was honored as an elder emeritis.
Laura Nothold and Ross Altenhein were given gifts for all their work on the Live Nativty,
Dean and Sue Woodruff did the reading and lighting of the 3rd Advent Candle (JOY),
Justin Knox led the children's sermon and the choir sang a beautiful prelude.
We are Blessed with so many who serve our church

Approximately 100 people attended the 2016 Truck or Treat event at Ursa Christian Church.
There was great food, fun games, and great fellowship!

2nd Annual Live Nativity

The presentation included 6 scenes.
The scenes include: 1. The Angel and Mary, 2. The City and Taxpayers including Roman Guards.
Participants received gold coins to use as their payment during their walk through the nativity,
3. The Inn, 4. Shepherds and Angel, 5. Wise men, 6 Nativity.

The Live Nativity is presented on the church grounds.
Visitors are ushered into our warm sanctuary where you wait to be meet your special guide. The guide will tell the story of the Nativity as you walk through the six specially lit scenes.
Characters along with a live camel, donkeys, cows and sheep will allow you to enjoy the lifelike Nativity.
Following the tour soup, cookies and warm drinks are served in in our fellowship hall.

Family Night
Ursa Christian Church has Family Night the first and third Wednesday of each month. A main dish is prepared and all in attendance bring a covered dish. We start at 6 pm.
Following the meal there is a lesson with the youth and then they do music.
The adults enjoy social time. The evening ends at 7 pm. Please join us!

Thanks to all the members of the congregation for their donations to the souper bowl food drive. Christy Huckstep asked the church to support her in collecting food as part of the JWCC Souper Bowl Food Drive. The church competed North Side against South Side. The North Side were the victors.
